Just like it has always been, the annual Smile Cookie fundraiser is garnering words of appreciation from one and all this year also, as it’s celebrating the charity event from September 19 to 25.
Known to be associated with noble causes, Tim Horton’s restaurants have been putting their best to serve the best possible sweet chocolate chip cookies to people, with the sole aim to raise funds.
To be sold for $1 plus tax, raised amount would be directed to purchase a medical ventilator for Headwaters Health Care Centre, which is expected to serve the much awaited need of the community.
About the machine, it has been told that the expensive machine worth $43,807 has the tendency to provide breathing support to the newborns.
Started in Ontario in 1996 at the Hamilton Children’s Hospital, the event has been getting support from one and all for being unique. As part of their long tradition, the event has managed to get over $33,000 for Headwaters, though it was done mutually with the help of local communities living in Orangeville-area.
The way community has supported the noble cause, Paul Preuss, local Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner, has applauded the generosity of all volunteers.
