DiBella Coffee has been a shining light on the Queensland business landscape for some time now it has an award to prove it. The coffee giant recently took out the Q400 Rising Star gong at the Queensland 400 Awards Gala, recognising the state’s largest private companies.
It is DiBella Coffee’s second consecutive listing in the annual event, this year jumping 138 spots from last year’s placing to secure the title. “Just to be named as a finalist in a category with such high calibre competition is phenomenal,” founder Phillip DiBella said.
It didn’t really matter if we won or lost at that point. Mr DiBella started to build his coffee empire in 2002 with only $5000 and two wholesale customers. Seven years on, DiBella has qualified for the BRW fast 100 list for the fourth consecutive year, a success he said is attributable to good old-fashioned customer service. Here at DiBella we go the extra mile for our customers and we judge our success not by numbers, but by the reactions of customers and the feedback we receive,” he said.
