1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1-1/2 tsps. vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup rolled oats
2 tbls. half-and-half
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla with an electric mixer until creamy. Stir in the chocolate chips and oats. Fold in the flour mixture and half-and-half. Drop the dough by the tablespoonful onto ungreased baking sheets.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are crisp. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes and enjoy.
